Read More	Battle Creek (Nebraska) Enterprise, 18 April 1935, Thursday, page 1 column 4 Mrs. Ellen Warlnke. Tilden Citizen: Ellen Warnke, nee Smith, was born in Vermont on November 15, 1858. She was united in marriage with Gustave Warnke in 1873. This union was blessed with nine children, of whom one son preceded his mother in death in 1927. The husband departed this life in 1918. The couple first began housekeeping in Illinois but came to Nebraska about the year 1897, where they spent the remainder of their lives. About a year ago the departed suffered a stroke of paralysis from which she partly recovered, but never regained her complete health. The past few months she suffered intensely, in her home in Tilden, until the angel of death came to relieve her on Sunday, April 7, at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 8 days. Mrs. Warnke is survived by eight children: Frank Warnke, Orchard; Mrs. Amelia Karabel, Albion; Mrs. Bertha Ucker, Tilden; Mrs. Emma Herden, Battle Creek; Mrs. Anna Kohl, Humphrey; Edwark [sic, Edward] Warnke, Tilden; Henry Warnke, Clearwater; Fred Warnke, Neligh. She is also survived by forty-seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grand-children. Funeral services were held at Friedens Evangelical church in charge of Rev. A.L. Brueggeman. The remains were laid at rest in the Tilden cemetery. ***** To this union was born Bertha. She was listed as the 4th Child in my info and she had married a Ucker.
