Harrelson 65 was the son of the late HC Harrelson and the late Mrs Jessie Porter Harrelson of the Pennyroyal Section of Georgetown County. Two men were arrested in Virginia Monday in connection with the robbery slaying according to the Charleston County Police. The two suspects were arrested by the Newport News Police. They were returned to South Carolina Tuesday in custody of agents of the State Law Enforcement Division. Harrelson a whiskey store proprietor apparently traded shorts with his killer. His .32 caliber revolver was found near his right hand two shells fired. Funeral services for the victim were held at 2 pm Sunday in the Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home in Georgetown. Officiating was the Rev WH Clapp pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery Annex. Mr Harrelson had been engaged in general construction work with the Attley Corp of Savannah for a number of years prior to moving to North Carolina about 15 years ago to enter business for himself. Surviving are his widow the former Miss Bessie Richardson a son Roy B Harrelson of Ocean Drive four grandchildren a brother Dewey Harrelson of Georgetown and four sisters Mrs Elma Harrelson and Lelia Moyd both of Georgetown Mrs Nora Cooper of Myrtle Beach and Mrs Minnie Jordan of Oxford NC.
