Husband of Eula (Burnette) Wall, he was the son of the late John Furman Wall and Nettie Mae (Horton) Wall. A native of Spartanburg County, he retired from Drayton Mills with thirty-five years service, was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, a Sunday School teacher, RA Leader, served on the finance committee, and a deacon for many years. Read More	Ellis Vernon Wall Sr., 88, of Chesnee, SC, died Monday, May 02, 2005, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Husband of Eula (Burnette) Wall, he was the son of the late John Furman Wall and Nettie Mae (Horton) Wall. A native of Spartanburg County, he retired from Drayton Mills with thirty-five years service, was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, a Sunday School teacher, RA Leader, served on the finance committee, and a deacon for many years. He was a loving, comical, gentle husband and father. He adored his many grandchildren and he was an avid fisherman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Judy W. Elliott and husband Phil of Spartanburg; and a daughter-in-law, Dot Wall of Chesnee; two sons, John Wall and wife Pat of Chesnee, George D. Wall of Chesnee; one sister, Frances Williams of Chesnee; three brothers, Boyce Howard Wall of Chesnee, John F. Wall , Jr. of Spartanburg, James R. Wall of Chesnee; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son, Ellis Vernon Wall, Jr.; a sister, Essie W. Hall Scruggs; and two brothers, J.D. Wall and Eli F. Wall. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 3:00 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church on Parris Bridge Road, officiated by the Rev. Tyler Kirby. Burial followed in Springhill Memorial Gardens. The family received friends Tuesday, May 3, 2005, from 7:00-9:00 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee.
