Description	:	Elma Cecelia Salverson grew up on a farm southeast of Mobridge, attended school in Mobridge, was married in Mobridge and then returned to the farm life in rural Campbell County. She remained on the farm until she entered the Good Samaritan Center in Selby. She died at the center on Monday, May 15, 2006, at the age of 94. She remained on the farm until she entered the Good Samaritan Center in Selby. She died at the center on Monday, May 15, 2006, at the age of 94. Elma was born Jan. 24, 1912, to Mons and Anna (Kleppe) Revheim in Mobridge. Her childhood was spent on the family farm that is now the site of Revheim Park. She graduated from Mobridge High School in 1931 and then worked at various places until her marriage. She and Melvin Salverson were married Dec. 21, 1941, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mobridge and farmed in Campbell County until Melvin's death in 1998. Elma continued to live on the farm until entering the Good Samaritan Center. Elma's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their spouses were one of the most enjoyable parts of her life. Melvin and Elma's door was never closed to their family and friends. Elma often reminisced how she and her siblings would walk the railroad tracks to and from school. She leaves five sons, Douglas (Linda) Salverson of Mound City, Donald (Shiralee) Salverson of Eugene, Ore., David Salverson of Midland, Mich., Paul (Judy) Salverson of Watertown and Charles (Janine) Salverson of Glenham; one daughter, Barbara (Doug) Pelton of Pickstown; one brother, Norman Revheim of Northridge, Calif.; one sister, Ann Shinn of Hidden Hills, Calif.; and many numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, her grandson Michael, three brothers, Anton, Martin and Palmer, and her parents preceded Elma in death. Funeral services for Elma were Saturday, May 20, at Norway Lutheran Church north of Glenham. The Rev. Dennis Fonkert officiated. Marilyn Brockel was organist. Martin Mickelson was soloist for "In The Garden." Hymns by the congregation were "Precious Lord," "Blessed Assurance" and "Amazing Grace." Casketbearers, all grandsons, were Jeff Salverson, Robert Salverson, Doug Pelton, Evan Salverson, Nick Salverson and David Salverson.
