Born April 8, 1919, in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Beverly H. Holley and the late Mar-tha Reynolds Holley. She was a member of County Line Christian Church, and was a merchandising manager for S. S. Kresge and K-Mart for forty years before retiring. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Neal Ashworth. She is survived by two brothers, Homer Holley and Floyd Holley, both of Callands. She was guardian for Benny Wooding Mills and Mary Jac Mills Sparks who survive. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Hedrick Holley, Capus Holley, Richard Holley and Dolas Holley; and four sisters, Odessa H. Holley, Sadie H. Finney, Ruby H. Finney and Kittye H. Mills Elliott. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Norris Funeral Services Chapel, 3995 Franklin Tpke, Danville, VA with Minister Dean Ashby officiating. Interment will be in the Holley family cemetery in Callands. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 4, 2008 from 7 to 8:30PM at Norris Funeral Services. Memorials may be made to the County Line Christian Church Building Fund, 12711 Chatham Rd., Axton, VA 24054; or the Callands Volunteer Fire Department, 11741 Callands Rd., Callands, VA 24530.
