Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in St. John’s American Lutheran Church In Le Mars with the Rev. David Kramer officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens In Le Mars. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home In Le Mars. Mr. Kruse was born Dec. 25, 1916, in Grant Township, Plymouth County, son of Harm H. and Anna (Nannen) Kruse. He married Leila Utesch Oct. 17, 1947, in Le Mars. He farmed and also was employed with the REC for 36 years, retiring in 1981. He was a lifelong resident of Plymouth County. Mr. Kruse was a member of St. John’s American Lutheran Church of Le Mars. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife; four sons (redacted); a daughter (redacted); three brothers, William, George and Herman Kruse, all of Le Mars; two sisters, Mildred Schulz of Le Mars and Edna Schubbe of Peotone, Ill.; four grandchildren; 2 stepgrandchildren, and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
