He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, played many different musical instruments, and was loved by his family and friends. Elmer is survived by his wife, Peggy Townsend Norman, of Parsons; three daughters, Brenda (Mickey) Barnickel, of Decaturville; Vanessa Gail (David) Burns, of Halls; Joyce Blurton, of Friendship; a sister, Ruth Bradley, of Lebanon. He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren - Shawna Tedder, Dallas Burns, Robbie McGee, Matthew Pearcey, Terra Pearcey and Zack Blurton and 12 Great-Grandchildren - Briana, Issac, Elaina, Savanna, Noah, Baleigh, Griffin, Sawyer, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Emily and Lila and by 9 nieces and 8 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Dallas and Cora Ella Norman, a son, Dennis Norman, a daughter, Dallasyn Norman, 3 sisters, Margie Norman, Dorothy Niece, and Leola Ray, and a grandchild, Tabitha McGee. His Funeral Service will be held at Reed's Chapel, Decaturville, TN, at 2 PM on Thursday, September 13th, with Ronnie Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Military Rites.
