Imler, a former well-known resident of Gilman, died Friday morning at 5 o'clock at a hospital in Carroll, of Bright's disease. His death was very sudden, having entered the hospital only three days before his death. Mr. Imler's home was in Avoca. On the advice of his physician Mr. Imler and his wife started for Minnesota in a wagon, in the hope that the change of climate would benefit his health. When they reached Carroll Mr. Imler's condition became so bad that he could not proceed any farther, and he was removed to a hospital. Relatives at Gilman who were notified of his serious condition, went to Carroll Friday, and were with him at the time of his death. Mr. Imler was born in Pennsylvania, but had spent much of his life in Gilman. He was 43 years of age. About eighteen years ago he left Gilman and went to Avoca, where he has since lived. In addition to his wife he is survived by two brothers, William W. Imler, of Gilman, and Charles Imler, of Rock Island, Illinois, and one sister Mrs. Anna Smith of Los Angeles, Cal. B. McDaniel, an uncle, lives in Gilman. Mrs. Imler, Mr. W.W. Imler, and Mr. McDaniel accompanied the body thru this city this morning to Gilman. The funeral was held from the Gilman Methodist church at 4 o'clock this afternoon, interment following in the Gilman cemetery. Added 26 Dec 2017
