Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill is in charge of arrangements. Elmer Frank Leroy Lambrecht was born on October 10, 1933 in rural Wayne, NE to Emil and Louise (Hank) Lambrecht. His family moved to Missouri in 1950 where graduated from Weaubleau High School in 1951. Elmer enlisted in the United States Army on October 6,1954 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was honorably discharged on September 25, 1956. Following his discharge, he moved to Plainview, NE. There he met Ramona Walton at the local Roller Skating Rink. Elmer married Ramona Walton at the Pierce County Courthouse on October 31, 1958. To this union three sons were born; Dean, Marvin and Michael. The couple lived in Plainview, NE where Elmer was a mechanic for Watson Motors and then Plainview Motors for 25 years. In 1992, they moved to Chambers, NE where Elmer worked for Ed Trinapole and then Non Pareil of Inman, NE until he retired in 2010. In 2018 he moved to the Norfolk Veteran’s Home in Norfolk, NE. Elmer was a member of the Plainview, NE VFW Post 5330 and the American Legion Post #148. Elmer enjoyed playing cards, gardening, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family. Elmer is survived by his sons; Dean (Melody) of McPherson, KS, Marvin (Rebecca) of Osmond, NE, Michael (Francis) of Osmond, NE; nine Grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren; 7 sisters; Adylene Steinkraus of Plainview, NE, Marcella Berner of Hooper, NE, Helen Rainey of Lawson, MO, Evelyne Lambrecht of Salina, KS, Lena Elliot of El Dorado Springs, MO, Lois Ann Hill of Excelsior Springs, MO, Sheryl Brunk of El Dorado Springs, MO; three brothers; Earl Lambrecht of Limestone, ME, Rick Lambrecht of Emporia, KS, Frank Lambrecht of El Dorado Spring, MO; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Emil and Louise Lambrecht; his wife, Ramona in 2015; sister; Arlene Boher; and brothers; Charles Lambrecht and Frank Lambrecht.
