A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Steele Funeral Home in Longview, Wash. Mr. Kletsch was born July 19, 1901, in Portland, Ore. He grew up on his family's farm near Longview, Wash. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Steele Funeral Home in Longview, Wash. Mr. Kletsch was born July 19, 1901, in Portland, Ore. He grew up on his family's farm near Longview, Wash. In 1912 he traveled to Bushy Island near Wrangell, to help his brother run a blue fox farm. He returned to Longview and went to work for the Longview Fibre Company. During World War II, at the age of 42, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a staff sergeant in England. After his discharge, he went back to work for the fibre company, retiring in 1966 after 39 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing with his brothers and riding horses. He was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. Mr. and Mrs. Kletsch moved to Anchorage in 1988 to be with their daughter, Susan Reeves. Mr. Kletsch established himself at the Mary Conrad retirement home earlier this year. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, in May. Mr. Kletsch is survived by his daughter, Susan Reeves, of Anchorage; his stepdaughter, Jane Bighaus, of Longview, Wash.; his brothers, Wayne, of Longview, and Charles, of Redmond, Wash., and his sister, Pearl Rogers, of Joseph, Ore.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Randall, of Anchorage, Debra Brockway, of Vancouver, Wash., Lisa Webb and William and Michael Bighaus, all of Longview. Local arrangements were by Evergreen Memorial Chapel, Downtown.
