Description	:	Elmer J. Wright, son of George and Nancy Wright, was born on Sept 23, 1870 at Clarinda, Iowa, and died at Bedford, Iowa, May 8, 1953 at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 15 days. He was married to Dora Maude Whitney in 1899 at Oregon, Mo, to this union were born the following children, John, Nancy, Madge, and Wayne, who died when children and Louise, now Mrs William B. Wright, son of George and Nancy Wright, was born on Sept 23, 1870 at Clarinda, Iowa, and died at Bedford, Iowa, May 8, 1953 at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 15 days. He was married to Dora Maude Whitney in 1899 at Oregon, Mo, to this union were born the following children, John, Nancy, Madge, and Wayne, who died when children and Louise, now Mrs William B. Harper of New Market. Mr Wright worked at the trade of brick burning for some time, engaged in farming for a good many years and worked at the State hospital for ten years. He made his home with his daughter and her husband for the past 23 years. He was paralyzed for the past eight years, during which time he was cared for in their home. He united with the Christian church at Maitland, Mo, when a boy and during visits with him during the past year, he expressed his trust in God. Mrs Wright died in 1911. There remain to mourn his departure, his daughter Louise and her husband William B. Harper, two sisters, Elnora Sloan of North Hollywood, Calif, and Mrs Harry Schoaly, Salt Lake City, Utah, two grandsons, Darrell Harper of Monroe, Wash, and Donald Harper of Vallejo, Calif, one great grandson, Kenneth George Harper, and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held at the New Market Methodist church on Tuesday afternoon, May 12, with Rev Earl Streyffeler, pastor, officiating. Interment was at Old Memory cemetery.
