Description	:	Elmer Kvasager, 66, passed away on January 25, 1989. Elmer was born on April 18th, 1922 to Knute and Olga (Anderson) Kvasager. He grew up in Manvel, ND where he helped with the family farm. Elmer is survived by three brothers: Arvin (Iola) Kvasager, Thelmer (Marlene) Kvasager, all of Grand Forks, ND, and Clayton (Bernice) Kvasager, Ardoch, ND; three sisters: Theona Geatz and Janet Torgerson of Grand Forks, ND, and Lois (Bill) Cariveau, East Grand Forks, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ole, and sisters... Read More	Elmer Kvasager, 66, passed away on January 25, 1989. Elmer was born on April 18th, 1922 to Knute and Olga (Anderson) Kvasager. He grew up in Manvel, ND where he helped with the family farm. Elmer is survived by three brothers: Arvin (Iola) Kvasager, Thelmer (Marlene) Kvasager, all of Grand Forks, ND, and Clayton (Bernice) Kvasager, Ardoch, ND; three sisters: Theona Geatz and Janet Torgerson of Grand Forks, ND, and Lois (Bill) Cariveau, East Grand Forks, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ole, and sisters Annie and Betty. Services for Elmer were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 1989, at United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Military Honors were provided by the Manvel American Legion. The Rev. Greg Mannel officiated the service and special music was provided by Jane Lien, Organist and Elmer's niece Laurie Shepard, Soloist. Casket Bearers for Elmer were his nephews; Clayton James Kvasager, Lonnie, William and Robert Kvasager, Darl Kvasager, Randy and Dean Torgerson, and Rick Cariveau. Interment was at the East Walle Lutheran Cemetery in rural Thompson, ND. Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks was in charge of arrangements. Taps Day is done, gone the sun from the lake, from the hill, from the sky. All is well, safely rest. God is nigh. Thanks and praise for our days 'neath the sun, 'neath the stars, 'neath the sky. As we go, this we know. God is nigh.
