Description	:	Elmer Beeler died at his home in Stuart Oct. 31, 1981. He was 82. He was born Nov. 22, 1898 in Warren County to Joseph and Emma Dollison Beeler. He attended country school in Milo. He was married to Nellie Marie Cox in Adel March 9, 1921. They had six children. They lived on a farm east of Dexter where he was employed as a farmhand. They later farmed on their own in several places in Dallas County. In 1952, they moved to Stuart where he worked as a farmhand. Read More	Elmer Beeler died at his home in Stuart Oct. 31, 1981. He was 82. He was born Nov. 22, 1898 in Warren County to Joseph and Emma Dollison Beeler. He attended country school in Milo. He was married to Nellie Marie Cox in Adel March 9, 1921. They had six children. They lived on a farm east of Dexter where he was employed as a farmhand. They later farmed on their own in several places in Dallas County. In 1952, they moved to Stuart where he worked as a farmhand. Beeler retired in 1964 and moved to town, where he operated a service station. He was later employed at another station in Stuart. Preceding him in death were his parents; four brothers, John, George, Newt and Richard; two sisters, Mary and Bertha; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Nellie; two sons, William of West Des Moines and Charles of Stuart; four daughters, Lorraine Karns and Marjorie Carter of Des Moines, Goldie Carter of Dexter and Norma Dickey of Menlo; one sister, Sarah Carrel of Knoxville; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Link Funeral Home in Stuart Nov. 3. Burial was at Waukee Cemetery.
