Description	:	Elmer Ulysses Ashmore, son of James and Elisa Ashmore, was born at Platteville, Grant County, Wisconsin, on November 21st, 1868. As a young man he came to York County, Nebraska in 1889, where he engaged in farming the next twenty-one years of his life. In 1910 he moved to Exeter, Neb. where he continued to live, until his death. For the most part, his life was free of sickness until the past few when his health failed and during the final six weeks of his life he was practically bedfast. He died on the morning of... Read More	Elmer Ulysses Ashmore, son of James and Elisa Ashmore, was born at Platteville, Grant County, Wisconsin, on November 21st, 1868. As a young man he came to York County, Nebraska in 1889, where he engaged in farming the next twenty-one years of his life. In 1910 he moved to Exeter, Neb. where he continued to live, until his death. For the most part, his life was free of sickness until the past few when his health failed and during the final six weeks of his life he was practically bedfast. He died on the morning of July 2, 1935, at the age of 66 years and 7 1/2 months. His parents and four brothers, Bert, James W., Frank and Alfred, have preceded him in death. With in the immediate family, he leaves one brother, Warren, of Salem, Oregon; and one sister, Ruby of Exeter, whose constant and devoted care did much to lighten the burden of his final illness. The funeral service was held at the home on Wednesday afternoon and conducted by his pastor, Rev. A. E. Bashford. Interment was made in the Exeter Cemetery.
