Read More	OBITUARY The Greenville News (SC) - Monday, September 9, 1957, Page 12 PICKENS, SC - September 8 - Mrs. Elmina Corbin Gilstrap, 87, died Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at her home in the Sunset section of Pickens County, following two years of declining health and an illness of one day. A native of Pickens County, Mrs. Gilstrap was the wife of the late Jessie M. Gilstrap, who died in 1955. She was a daughter of the late Tarry Corbin and Mary Elizabeth Walker Corbin of Pickens County, and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Slatton of Pickens; two sons, Aaron Gilstrap and Homer Gilstrap, both of Pickens; a brother, Bill Corbin of Dacusville; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church by the Rev. H. A. Newton, the Rev. Henry Pelfrey and the Rev. Garland Sentell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerald Gilstrap, Leroy Slatton, Harvey Cassell, James Cassell, Denver Jenkins and Fred Turner. Honorary escort will be Men's Bible Class and deacons of Antioch Church. The body is at Clayton-Dillard Funeral Home and will be taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Slatton, 40 Railroad Street, Pickens, at 10 a.m. Monday.
