Description	:	Elna Margarete Harling, 85, of Luray, died on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at MontVue Nursing Home. She was born on Feb. 25, 1925, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Cletus Arthur and Alice Elizabeth Payne Cave. Mrs. Harling worked as a seamstress at Wrangler and was a member of the Mount Zion Church of the Brethren and the Ida Grove Gospel Church. On June 5, 1976, she married William R. Somers, all of Luray; a stepson, Charles Harling of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Patricia Ann "Patty" Martin of Hawaii; a sister, Marlene Bell of Luray; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Carson and Joyce Cave; and a brother, Charles Cave. A funeral service was conducted on Friday, March 5, at the Mount Zion Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Quentin Parlett. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Luray Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 266, Luray, Va. 22835.
