Description	:	Eloise C. Coe, 97, formerly of Hanford passed away of natural causes at her Citrus Heights, California residence. Mrs. Coe was born in Hanford in 1911, attended Woodrow Wilson School, and graduated from Hanford High School in 1930 and Los Angeles Junior College in 1932. She was the daughter of former Kings County newspaperman and coroner J. Larry Smith. She married Jack H. Coe in 1934 and survived him by 10 years. Coe, 97, formerly of Hanford passed away of natural causes at her Citrus Heights, California residence. Mrs. Coe was born in Hanford in 1911, attended Woodrow Wilson School, and graduated from Hanford High School in 1930 and Los Angeles Junior College in 1932. She was the daughter of former Kings County newspaperman and coroner J. Larry Smith. She married Jack H. Coe in 1934 and survived him by 10 years. She was a member of the Hanford First Baptist Church family from Cradle Roll until now. She sang in the church choir for more than 50 years, often as a trio with her two sisters. She was a homemaker first of all and also worked as a waitress at her uncle's creamery, the Superior Dairy, for many years. She enjoyed sewing, camping, fishing, and traveling in the western states. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack, her sister, Virginia, and her brother Laurence. She is survived by her sister, Beatrice; her two sons, James of Fair Oaks and Charles of Perris; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Graveside Services will be at 9 a.m., Tuesday May 26, at the Grangeville Cemetery in Armona. Remembrances in lieu of flowers may be sent to the First Baptist Church, 9125 13 1/2 Ave., Hanford, CA 93230.
