Description	:	Eloise Ressler Nichols, 90, of Shell Rock and formerly of Waverly, died on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Shell Rock Healthcare Center of natural causes. Eloise was born on April 20, 1923 in New Hartford, Iowa, the daughter of Clay and Olive Laurel (Mack) Ressler. She attended school in Clarksville, graduating in May of 1940 from the Clarksville High School. On August 14, 1947, she was united in marriage to Loren "Mike" Nichols in Shenandoah, Iowa. Eloise was born on April 20, 1923 in New Hartford, Iowa, the daughter of Clay and Olive Laurel (Mack) Ressler. She attended school in Clarksville, graduating in May of 1940 from the Clarksville High School. On August 14, 1947, she was united in marriage to Loren "Mike" Nichols in Shenandoah, Iowa. She worked as a domestic and also at Hinson's Manufacturing during WWII. Eloise also helped Loren farm south of Horton from 1947-1951. From 1951–1959 she was a homemaker in Parkersburg until the family moved to Shell Rock where she and Loren owned and operated the 3G's Motel. The couple later moved to Waverly, where Eloise babysat for many years. Eloise was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Waverly. She enjoyed flowers, sewing, cooking & baking. Eloise was a good neighbor and a great wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and friends very much. Eloise is survived by her loving husband of over 66 years, Loren of Shell Rock; her two daughters and their husbands, Arnetta (Mike) Bley of Cedar Falls, Marilyn (Michael) Schuldt of Shell Rock; four grandchildren, Shane (Laura) Arns of Ridgecrest, California, Aaron (Emily) Arns of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Jessica (Jim) Huffman of Shell Rock, Garrett Schuldt of Shell Rock; and two great grandchildren, Laurel & Elsie. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Waverly, with Pastor Deborah Coble-Wise officiating. Burial following the luncheon at Lynwood Cemetery in Clarksville. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26th from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly. Memorials may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church or Cedar Valley Hospice – Waverly office. Online condolences for Eloise's family may be left at www.kaisercorson.com
