Born August 15, 1905 near Harper, she was the daughter of Guido H. and Amelia Grunow Goeldner. She graduated from the Sigourney High School in 1924. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Martinsburg and a member of the Homemaker's Club. She married Ralph W. Jones Nov. 11, 1928 at Sigourney and they had lived in Martinsburg all of their married life. They were the parents of one son, Norman, who preceded his mother in death Aug. 22, 1964. She is survived by her husband; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Blanche Jones and a grandson Dennis Long, both of Ottumwa; two brothers, Elmer Goeldner of Sigourney and Raymond of Morning Sun; and a sister, Mrs. Merrill (Selina) Chapman of Oskaloosa. Preceding her in death, in addition to her son, were her parents; and a half brother, William Hardlein. Funeral services were held Feb. 3 at the United Methodist Church in Martinsburg with the Rev. C. Kent Wever officiating. Mrs. Jess Terrell was the organist. Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery near Delta. Casket bearers were, Eric Dahlstrom, Larry Heninger, Earl L. Jones, William Martin, Donald Sanchez and Jerry Waters. The Reynolds Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
