Description	:	TIMMONSVILLE - Elsie Green Severance passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 on her 93rd birthday with her children at her side at Elmcroft of Florence. Funeral services will be Monday, May 21, 2012 at 4 pm at Peniel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Mrs Severance was born in Florence County the daughter of the late Charlie Johnson and Olive Stricklen Green. She was a member of Peniel Baptist Church. Elsie worked at Oxford Textile and also La-Z- Boy as a seamstress before retiring. She was married to the late Troy B. Severance. Survivors are five sons, Charles B.(Margaret)Severance, Anthony (Beverly) Severance all of Effingham, Stanley (Carolyn) Severance, Ben (Terry) Severance, Mark (Elaine) Severance all of Timmonsville; four daughters Lynette (Moultrie) Matthews, Angela Langston, Marilyn (Randy) Langston all of Timmonsville. Karen (Glenn) Langston, Olanta and daughter-in law Pam Severance, Timmonsville; One brother Lonnie (Betty) Green, Florence; four sisters Ann (Rudy) Springs, Timmonsville, Pearleen Canady, Learleen (Willard) Gainey all of Florence, Sylvia (William) McMillan, Tifton, Ga. twenty (24) grandchildlren and thirty (30) great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Dave Severance who passed away in 2011, twin bothers, Ernest and Carl and three sisters, Janie Mae, Louise and Eloise. Memorials may be made to Peniel Baptist Church, 4186 Twin Church Rd., Timmonsville, SC. 29161 Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto St., Florence, is assisting the family with arrangements.
