Main St. Elsie Fabert was born on June 18, 1917 on the family farm near Mina, SD to William and Rose (Wagner) Fabert. She attended country school and in her teens she worked as a waitress and worked for Tiffany's Laundry. On December 23, 1943 she married Walter Albrecht in Aberdeen. They made their home on a farm near Columbia where they farmed for fifty-seven years, retiring in 1985. When she was in her sixty's she applied at 3M putting on her application "Try Me" and they hired her on the spot, she worked there for eight years. She continued to live on the farm until 2006 when she moved to Rosewood Court at Groton and later moved to Red Rose Care Center in Aberdeen. In January 2014 she moved to Joe & Christi's home in Columbia, SD. Elsie was a member of United Church of Christ, Columbia. She also was a member of the Eastern Star. She loved living on the farm, especially raising chickens, dogs and many cats. She loved gardening, fruit trees, bowling, fringing her clothes, singing, yodeling, playing the harmonica, guitar and praising her Lord. Her grandchildren and their families were very special to her, she loved having baked goods or snacks for them or anyone else who would stop for a visit. Grateful for having shared Elsie's life are her son, Joe (Christi) Albrecht, Columbia, grandchildren, Brandon, Myndi (Scott), Kelsie (Jeremy), Alex (Liz) and Benjamin, great grandchildren, Tristan, Jaeger, Sierra, Christian, Drake, Ruby, Lilly and Violet. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Albrecht, son, Timothy Albrecht, parents, William and Rose Fabert, brothers, George, Danny and Ben Fabert, sisters, Rosalina Smith and Ernestine Roblewsky
