Description	:	Elsie Good, 87, of 1330 N. Sidney Ave., Sterling, died Monday, Feb. 7, 1994, in Sterling. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Tennant Funeral Home. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Sterling. The Rev. Greg Fitch will conduct the services. Mrs. Good was born Feb. 27, 1906, in Sterling, the daughter of Peter and Grace DeSoto Nelson. She grew up in Sterling and graduated from Sterling High school. She grew up in Sterling and graduated from Sterling High school. She worked for Mountain Bell as an operator for 38 years, retiring in 1964. After retirement, she spent many hours in volunteer work with the Logan County Hospital Auxilary and in local nursing homes. She was a member of the Logan County Historical Society, Professional Business Women's Club, the Fortnightly Club, Stitch and Chatter Club, Christian Women's Fellowship, Telephone Pioneer Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxilary. She also was a member of, and very active in, First Christian Church. Mrs. Good is survived by sisters-in-law Reva Newton of Arvada, Ruby Berry of Tacoma, Wash.,and Hazel Good of Raton, N.M.; cousins Harry Bartholomew, Everett Bartholomew and Della Leabo, both of Sterling, and Mrs. Dixon Poirsn of Berkeley, Calif.; nephew Robert Burk and wife Pat of Sterling, and numerous other neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Good, in July 1949. Contributions in Mrs. Good's memory can be made to any of the following: First Christian Church CYF Summer Work Trip, Summer Camp Conference, Remodeling Fund or the Elsie Good Memorial to the First Christian Church Youth (Disciples of Christ).
