She was born on Dec. 8, 1923, in Luray and was a daughter of the late James Luther and Retta Susan Printz Woodward. Mrs. Good was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church, American Legion Unit 22 Auxiliary, was a former president of the Luray Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and was a member of the VFW Post 621 Auxiliary for more than 40 years. Read More	Elsie Mae Woodward Good, 85, of 22 Grove Rd., Luray, died on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at MontVue Nursing Home. She was born on Dec. 8, 1923, in Luray and was a daughter of the late James Luther and Retta Susan Printz Woodward. Mrs. Good was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church, American Legion Unit 22 Auxiliary, was a former president of the Luray Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and was a member of the VFW Post 621 Auxiliary for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, Order of the Rose, and worked tirelessly for her community and neighbors always with love and food. On April 30, 1948, she married Carroll James Price, who died on July 14, 1980. On Sept. 4, 1982, she married, Ermon Jackson "Buddy" Good, who survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Sandra Price Grove of Morehead City, N.C.; two sisters, Eula Carter Chandler and Ruth Seal, both of Luray; two stepsons, Jackson and Kenny Good, both of Luray; five granddaughters, Stephanie, Amanda, Bridgett, Angela and Lori; seven grandsons, Phillip, Anthony, Kenny, Derrick, Noah, Keven and Charles; nine great-grandchildren, Sydney, Natalie, Daniel, Ayden, Adyson, Meghan, Sarah, Jacob and P.J.; and one great-great-grandchild, Madison. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael J. Price; two sisters, Effie Buracker and Hazel Burrows; five brothers, Elmer, Paul, Virgil, Charles and Harry Woodward; and a stepdaughter, Nancy Gray. A graveside service was conducted on Saturday, Aug. 1, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray. The family received friends on Friday, July 31, at the Bradley Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Luray Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 266, Luray, Va. 22835; or to Relay For Life, 1066 Honeyville Rd., Stanley, Va. 22851. (Paid Obituary)
