The 1930 census lists her as residing in Clinton, NJ along with her mother Emma, brothers George and Howard, and three boarders (one of whom was her future husband Joseph Schuyler). Her father William was listed as a farmer and resident of Huguenot, Virginia. Married her husband Joseph Schuyler in Ridgewood, New Jersey on September 19, 1930. They initially made their home in Lebanon, New Jersey and had four children including Frederick (1931-2000), William (1940-2017), Robert (1941-living), and Donald (1946-1946). She also had a daughter Helen (1929-2005) from a previous relationship. By the time of the 1940 census she was residing in New Haven, CT along with her husband Joseph, daughter Helen, and sons Frederick and William. Her father William spent seven years (1914-1921) living in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada as a tenant wheat farmer. Five out of the seven years his wheat crop was destroyed by monstrous hail storms. After seven years in western Canada, he returned to the United States and settled in Powhatan County, Virginia where he started growing crops of peanuts and watermelons. As these crops were grown by nearly everybody at the time, the market was over saturated and he did not turn much of a profit. Before moving to Canada he had been the proprietor of the first automobile repair shop in either Schenectady or Glens Falls, NY.
