Description	:	Elsie Marie (Baldwin) Whitson, 93, passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2020, at Alexandria Care Center. She was born Nov. 6, 1926, in Daleville, to Francis and Essie Baldwin. She married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Whitson on June 23, 1948. They were married for 59 years before his passing on June 2, 2008. She retired after 20 years of driving a school bus driver for Anderson Transit System, Inc. Elsie and her husband owned and operated Whitson's Concessions for 55 years. Read More	Elsie Marie (Baldwin) Whitson, 93, passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2020, at Alexandria Care Center. She was born Nov. 6, 1926, in Daleville, to Francis and Essie Baldwin. She married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Whitson on June 23, 1948. They were married for 59 years before his passing on June 2, 2008. She retired after 20 years of driving a school bus driver for Anderson Transit System, Inc. Elsie and her husband owned and operated Whitson's Concessions for 55 years. They were known for their famous shake-ups and bunny ears. There is nothing she loved more in life than her family. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved dressing as Mrs. Claus. She loved watching and collecting cardinals. Elsie is survived by her children, Glen (Suzzette) Wilson, Trudy (Bill) Kwalik, Naomia (Hubie) Gooding, all of Anderson, Madonna (Frank) Porter of Terre Haute; son-in-law, Dannie Thompson; grandchildren, Tammy (Willie) Milburn, Karrie (Scott) Milburn, Dannette McPhearson, Wendy (Scott) Harless, Chris Kwalik, Alicia Little, Robin Gooding, Jennifer (Baldwin) Prince Able, Heather Baldwin, and Dale Wilson; 19 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bob Baldwin, Diny Baldwin, Gene Baldwin, Carl Baldwin, Jack Baldwin, Curt Baldwin, Gibb Baldwin, and Jamie Baldwin; sister, Mable (Baldwin) Rumler; daughter, Judith "Judi" Thompson; sons, Bobby Whitson and Tommy Baldwin; great-granddaughter, Morgan Milburn. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2020. at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services, 504 W. Ninth St., Anderson. Burial will be in Bronnenberg Cemetery, Chesterfield.
