Rev. Harvey O. Gilbertson officiated. Mrs. Senft died Thursday, March 2, at her home in Monticello. She was born Jan. 25, 1889, to Jacob and Fredericka Hoffman Mueller in Germany, receiving her early education in schools near her birthplace. On Feb. 25, 1913 she married the Rev. Hans Senft and the couple came to the United States. Rev. Senft served several congregations throughout the midwestern states. He retired in April, 1957 and the couple came to live in Monticello in 1960. Rev. Senft died on Dec. 3, 1968. She is survived by four children, Rev. Herman Senft, Nora Springs; Dr. Otto Senft, Monticello; Dr. Alfred Senft, Providence, R. I.; and Mrs. Walter (Lydia) Beckman, Omaha, Neb., 13 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Gretchen Mueller of Germany and Mrs. Martha Reuther of Australia. A son, Rudolph, preceded her in death. Casket bearers were Alfred Beckman, John, James, Mark, Thomas and Steve Senft.
