Read More	Elsie Virginia Williams September 24, 1924 - September 24, 2008 Resided in Abbeville, SC Elsie Virginia Williams, 84, of Elizabeth St., Abbeville, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson. She was born in Abbeville to the late Paul G. and Pearl Scott Williams, Sr. Elsie was a long time, dedicated member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Anderson College with a degree in business and began work at the Milliken Abbeville Plant in 1943 as a dedicated Personnel Office employee until her retirement on November 15, 1995. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Joyce Couch. Surviving Ms. Williams is her brother, Paul G. Williams, Jr., of Abbeville; four sisters, Thelma W. Shain of Chapel Hill, N.C., Joann W. Davis of Spartanburg, SC, Alice Faye W. Knox and Mary G. "Johnnie" Williams both of Abbeville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM Friday, September 26, 2008 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM Friday in the funeral home chapel conducted by the Rev. Eddie Taylor and Rev. James "Jim" Williams. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. The families are at their respective homes.
