Description	:	Elske was born to Harm Klaashen and Fentje Loerts (Penning) Bultena in Wymeer, Ostfriesland, Germany. Elske married Gerd (George) Muller on Jun 19, 1870 in Ackley, IA. To this union 9 children were born; Henry G., Frank G., Harm, Dena, Fannie, Harmanna, Amanda, Gerriet and Frank. Elske attained the age of 59 years, 3 months and 5 days. Read More	Elske was born to Harm Klaashen and Fentje Loerts (Penning) Bultena in Wymeer, Ostfriesland, Germany. Elske married Gerd (George) Muller on Jun 19, 1870 in Ackley, IA. To this union 9 children were born; Henry G., Frank G., Harm, Dena, Fannie, Harmanna, Amanda, Gerriet and Frank. Elske attained the age of 59 years, 3 months and 5 days. The following is from the Lennox Diamond Jubilee Book. Mr. and Mrs. George Muller homesteaded four miles southwest of the present Lennox town site September 20, 1877. Both members of this early couple were born in Ostfriesland, Germany, the former on March 8, 1843, and the latter —nee Elsie Bultena—October 20, 1845. They remained in their native land for several years, growing to maturity among the environments provided them abroad. Mr. Muller served in the German army in 1866, and the following year, 1867, came to the United States alone. Mr. Muller settled first in Freeport, IL, and in 1868 made the trek westward to Iowa, settling at Ackley. Mrs. Muller came to this country in 1868, unaccompanied, from Germany, and went directly to Ackley, IA. The couple was married at Ackley, June 19, 1870, and after pursuing their farming activities in the Hawkeye state for approximately seven years; in 1877 they entered Dakota Territory, establishing their home near the present Lennox town site. There were nine children born to this union, four of whom passed away in infancy. The other five read as follows: Henry G. Muller and Frank Muller, both of whom were born in Iowa, and Mrs. Dena Legel, Mrs. John (Fannie) Bultena, and Mrs. Ed (Amanda) Van Bockern, born here. Mr. Muller passed away April 10, 1917. Mrs. Muller preceded him in death, succumbing January 25, 1905
