Description	:	Elva Susan Lohr, 95, of Luray, died Friday, June 19, 2009, at the Winchester Medical Center. Mrs. Lohr was born June 22, 1913, in Luray, and was the daughter of the late John William Burner and Elizabeth Susan (Painter) Burner. She was a past member of the Luray Fire Department Auxiliary and the Luray VFW Post 621 Auxiliary. On Aug. 10, 1945, she married Elbert Gorrell Lohr, who died Sept. 21, 1971. Mrs. Lohr was born June 22, 1913, in Luray, and was the daughter of the late John William Burner and Elizabeth Susan (Painter) Burner. She was a past member of the Luray Fire Department Auxiliary and the Luray VFW Post 621 Auxiliary. On Aug. 10, 1945, she married Elbert Gorrell Lohr, who died Sept. 21, 1971. Survivors include three sons, Donald Goode, Alvin "Hoot" Bell and James "Tater" Clark, all of Luray; four daughters, Sue Housden, Ann Sours of Luray, Brenda Clark of Luray, Patty (Lohr) Clark of Luray and daughter-in-law, Chris Goode of Luray; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, William "Jack" V. Goode and Buford Bell; five brothers, Joseph Burner, John Burner, Willis Burner, Harry Burner and James "Buck" Burner, and two sisters, Annie Bauserman and Edna Clark. Garland "Bubba" Gochenour will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2009, at Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, where visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Luray Fire Department, 1 Firehouse Lane, Luray, VA 22835, or the Luray Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 266, Luray, VA 22835.
