Mrs. Elvera Darlene Ellis, 34, wife of Carl R. Ellis of 2009 West Fifth street, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the St. Joseph hospital. She was born February 13, 1916 in Ottumwa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Armentrout. She is survived by her husband; two children, Marilyn and Dwayne, at home; her mother, Mrs. Ethel Armentrout of Ottumwa, and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Mildred Smith, Mrs. Gladys MacLearn, Mrs. Doris Coleman, Orville, Ivan and Eugene Armentrout, all of Ottumwa. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel pending completion of funeral arrangements. --------------- “ELLIS SERVICES,” From “Ottumwa Daily Courier,” Wednesday, March 8, 1950, Page 24: Funeral services for Mrs. Elvera D.
