Description	:	Elvira E. Moberley Strouf, "Vi" (a.k.a. Blondie), left this world on May 31, 2021, to be with her Lord. Although all friends and family will miss her terribly, she has looked forward to being with her God. Vi was the third child born to Arod Elbert and Alice Shoemaker Moberley on February 24, 1932, near the Roy community. Her early schooling was at the Fishburn School, near Roy Montana. Blondie), left this world on May 31, 2021, to be with her Lord. Although all friends and family will miss her terribly, she has looked forward to being with her God. Vi was the third child born to Arod Elbert and Alice Shoemaker Moberley on February 24, 1932, near the Roy community. Her early schooling was at the Fishburn School, near Roy Montana. She later moved to Lewistown where she attended Fergus High School and graduated in 1950. Soon thereafter she dedicated her life through marriage to Robert Strouf on November 15, 1951.Ten years later, Vi was the mother of 7 children: Duane Strouf (deceased ), Kathleen (Mike) Otto of Hurricane, Utah, Linda (Kerm) Mathiason of Hurricane, Utah, Paul (deceased), Diane (Doyle) Davis of Casper, Wyoming, Larry (Cindy) Strouf of Sidney, Montana, then last, but certainly not least, Barbara (Garald) Johnston, of Winifred, Montana. She also was the proud gramma of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. During Vi's early years of marriage, she and Robert ranched north of Lewistown. In those days, ranch life meant living with no indoor plumbing, cooking on a cook stove, milking cows twice a day, cleaning and watching over babies. She did all this without complaint. In 1964, the family moved to Hobson, Montana, where they purchased a farm. Thereafter, they built a basement and configured it to suffice as a home. Vi later moved into Lewistown where she was employed in the kitchen with CMMC for several years. After retiring from CMMC, she volunteered in the gift shop at CMMC. Vi was a dedicated parishioner at St. Leo's her whole life; attending mass faithfully. In her spare time she liked to sew and those who knew her in her younger years can vouch for her homemade bread and other baked goods. A viewing will be held at Creel Funeral Home on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be Monday, July 19, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at Central Montana Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations can be made to St. Leo's Catholic Church in honor of Vi.
