Description	:	Wife of A. Parrish North Bend Eagle, Thursday, May 25, 1899 Mrs. Alonzo Parrish died at her home in the Maple Grove neighborhood, Friday the 19th after a lingering illness. Elvira Herrick Mulloy was born in Clermont county, Ohio, March 29th, and was therefore fifty years and fifty-two days old. She came to Nebraska in March 1870, and was married to Alonzo Parrish March 12th, 1872. Deceased was an active member of the Maple Grove church for twelve years, and a member of the W. C. T. Parrish North Bend Eagle, Thursday, May 25, 1899 Mrs. Alonzo Parrish died at her home in the Maple Grove neighborhood, Friday the 19th after a lingering illness. Elvira Herrick Mulloy was born in Clermont county, Ohio, March 29th, and was therefore fifty years and fifty-two days old. She came to Nebraska in March 1870, and was married to Alonzo Parrish March 12th, 1872. Deceased was an active member of the Maple Grove church for twelve years, and a member of the W. C. T. U. from its organization. She was a devoted christian, faithful to God, loyal to the church, and was a woman in all respects that commanded the respect and esteem of a large acquaintance. She always took an active interest in all that pertained to the upbuilding of the community in which she lived, and her help was sought after in the futherance of every enterprise that would benefit her neighbors. By her death the community loses one of its noblest characters, and her place will be hard to fill. The husband, three daughters, and a son are left to mourn her departure. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Galloway of the Maple Grove church, and the remains laid to rest in the church cemetery. NOTE: Obit provided by Laura Mattingly (#46796913)
