Description	:	Obituary: Elzar Lee Atkinson, 67, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Louis P. Rohls, in Eldon Monday. Mr. Atkinson had been in poor health or several years and was making his home with Mr. and Mrs. Rohls. He was born near High Point, August 29, 1885, the son of Susan Isabella Miller and James M. Atkinson. Until moving to Eldon, Mr. Atkinson owned a farm near California where he spent most of his life, and was active in civic and political affairs. Mr. Atkinson had been in poor health or several years and was making his home with Mr. and Mrs. Rohls. He was born near High Point, August 29, 1885, the son of Susan Isabella Miller and James M. Atkinson. Until moving to Eldon, Mr. Atkinson owned a farm near California where he spent most of his life, and was active in civic and political affairs. Mr. Atkinson served as Noble Grand of the Odd Fellows Lodge in California, was president of the local association there of the Federal Land Bank, a member of the Moniteau County Fair Board for a number of years, and served as Street and Water Commissioner at California for 12 years. He was a member of the Christian Church there. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Wood at Sedalia, June 20, 1912, and they were the parents of two children, who survive. Besides Mrs. Rohls, there is a son, James of Jefferson City. Also surviving are one granddaughter, Mary Lee Rohls; two brothers, Byron of Barnett, and O.P. of High Point; three sisters, Dora and Idonia of High Point and Fannie of Tebbetts. His wife, two brothers, and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted at California Wednesday afternoon and burial made in the cemetery there.
