Winslow conducted the service. The services at the grave in Edgewood Cemetery was conducted by the Royal Neighbors of America of which Mrs. Sevey had been a member for 37 years. Elzina R. Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin E. Smith, was born in Elk Township, Clayton County, Feb. 14, 1863, and with but a few years exception, had lived in the vicinity of Edgewood her entire life. On Feb. 7, 1887, at York, Ia., she was married to W. Devillo Sevey. In 1910 Mr. and Mrs. Sevey moved to Texas where they lived for three years, returning to Iowa for a year and again spending a year in Texas. The rest of the timehad been spent in or near Edgewood. Mrs. Sevey was preceded in death by one son, Glen O. Sevey and one daughter, Mrs. Vera Moser. Surviving are the husband and two daughters and three sons: Mrs. Blanche Weyant of Edgewood; Mrs. Florence Weyant of Greeley; Ray A. Sevey of Guttenberg; Floyd W. Sevey of Englewood, Calif.; and Lynn E. Sevey, Cleveland, Ohio. There are also 10 grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
