Emanuel married Marie Rejda on October 16, 1934 at Brainard where he farmed until 1941. Twin daughters Deloris and Doris were born to this union. He farmed south of Prague, and also was a mechanic for V.R. Shimerka from 1942 to 1975. Then he worked part time for Richard Shimerka.
