Description	:	Emelia Fredrick was born August 16, 1824, at Pommer Folkenwalda, Germany. She was confirmed and baptized in the Lutheran church there. In 1858 she came with her family to America. They made their home near Marysville, belonging to the Zion church. She was the mother of eight children, of which three daughters and two sons are dead. The ones living are a daughter, Mrs. Ferdinand Ladwig, of Seward, Mr. Carl Fredrick near North Platte and August Fredrick of Seward. Services were held Friday morning at 8:30 at the house and 9:00 o'clock at the Lutheran church. Rev. C. H. Becker conducted the funeral services. Pallbearers were four brothers, Ferdinand, Herman, William and August, the Ladwig grandchildren, two great grandchildren, Fredrick and William. Interment was made at t he Ulysses cemetery where her husband was laid to rest. The last few years she has made her home with her son, August Fredrick, where the funeral took place.
