The Osceola Sentinel, Osceola, Iowa November 13, 1958, Page 2 Obituary Emerice Loren Woods Emerice Loren Woods, son or Isaac Martin and Campadella Stubbs Woods, was born in Doyle Twp. Clarke County, Iowa November 8, 1890. He passed away at the Clarke County hospital November 3, 1958 at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 25 days. He had spent his entire life in Clarke County with the exception of three years in South Dakota. He attended the Clarke County schools and then spent the remainder of his life engaged in farming. On December 5, 1923 he was united in marriage with Helena Patterson at Osceola, Iowa. Nine children were born to this union. He is survived by his wife, four sons, Lowell Dean, Van Wert, Warren Worth, with the U. S. Army in Iceland, Leonard Raymond of Van Wert, Richard Earl with the Air Force in La. Three daughters, Ramona Rose Brammer, Harper, Iowa, Lois Elaine Pettis of Van Wert, Sharon Nadine Woods of Des Moines. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, two brothers, Lawrence Earl and Willard Leon, three sisters, Edith, Edna and Tressie. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Lloyd and two daughters. He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and the Tennessee church in Decatur County. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile at the Webster Funeral Home Friday, November 7, at two o'clock. Music was furnished by Josephine Lanz with Amy Ruth Harlan at the organ. Burial was in the Fremont Cemetery in Clarke County with military services, conducted there.
