"Emerson Eli Hetrick, 73, 112 Franklin St., Williamsport, died at 12:30 a.m. May 22, 1994, at Home Hospital, Lafayette. He had been hospitalized earlier in the week. He was born in Warren County, Dec. 23, 1920, the son of Freeman and Lena Schupp Hetrick. He married Madora F. Brown, Dec. 28, 1943 in Williamsport. She survives. He was a life resident of Warren County. He had attended school in Judyville. He had formerly lived in the Tab community for many years and has resided in Williamsport for the past 19 years. He had worked at the Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica for 20 years. He retired in 1982. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Locust Grove United Methodist Church. He was Sunday School Superintendent for many years in the church. He enjoyed his children and his granddaughter, Nikki, as well as many friends. Surviving, besides the wife, are: two daughters, Linda D. (Larry) Underhill, Lafayette; Luann (Bob) Douglas, West Lebanon, a granddaughter, Nikki Douglas, West Lebanon; a brother, John (Lea) Hetrick, Veedersburg; four sisters, Evangeline Taflinger and Edith (George) Synder, both of Lafayette; Eunice Robertson, Kouts; and Juanita (Wilmer) Brier, Route 4, Attica. Funeral services will be held at Maus Funeral Home, Attica, at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. John Buckley officiating. Burial with military gravesite services will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
