Being one of a large family of children of George A. and Melvina Ross Jennings, all, save one sister having preceded him death. Read More	Emerson Everett Jennings was born near Higginsport, Ohio, March 8, 1868 and passed away at his home in Georgetown, Ohio, December 9, 1943, aged 75 years, 9 months and 1 day. Being one of a large family of children of George A. and Melvina Ross Jennings, all, save one sister having preceded him death. He was raised a Christian life and accepted his saviour at Higginsport Christian Church in 1891. He was united in marriage to Lillie M. Scott in 1898. To this union five children were born. Lillie M. departed this life Feb. 29, 1907. On May 14, 1911, he was united in marriage to Alma L. Smith. To this union were born five children. Early in life he chose farming as his favorite occupation, in which he never lost his ardent interest. He had been a farmer in Brown County the greater part of his life and was well-known in this locality. He was always kind and thoughtful to others and an inspiration to all who knew him. Being a man of great faith and courage, he could always meet any disappointments or sorrows with a smile and a determination to carry on, as he knew it was the will of the Lord. He had lived a righteous life and when the Father called he was ready to go. He leaves to mourn their loss his widow Alma Smith Jennings, one sister, Mrs. Fannie Parker, of Georgetown, seven sons and two daughters, Clyde E., of Cincinnati, Ohio; Robert G., of Myers, Ky.; Emerson Jr., of Loveland, Ohio; Eugene M., Chilo, Ohio; Soll C., William A., Mrs. Mary Alice Miller and Georgia Evelyn of Georgetown and Harold R., somewhere overseas. One daughter, Marie preceded him in death July 19, 1927. Sixteen grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends mourn their loss.
