Description	:	Boone County Democrat November 20, 1908 Emerson Laverne, the infant son of Charles E. and Anna (Jennings) Jones, passed away at their home, south of Madrid at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, November 16th, after an illness of only thirty six hours with bronchial pneumonia, aged two months and two days. The remains were taken to Pilot Mound Tuesday, where the funeral services were held Wednesday, burial in the cemetery at that place. The bereaved parents and relatives have the earnest sympathy of their many friends in their sorrow. ----------------------------------------------------- Boone County Democrat November 27, 1908 Little Emerson Laverne, two month old son of Mr.and Mrs. Chas. Jones, of near Madrid, passed away Monday Nov. 16th, at 1:30 p.m., after an illness of thirty six hours duration with bronchial pneumonia. The little one had lived long enough to entwine its little being securely around the heart strings of the parents, who keenly realize their loss. He also leaves a two and a half year old sister, Genevieve, who greatly misses his tiny presence and good night kisses which she was always accustomed to having during his short stay. The remains were shipped to Boone Tuesday and taken to the home of his grand parents Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Jennings, near Mineral Ridge. The funeral services were held from the M.E. church at Mineral Ridge at 10:00 o'clock Wednesday morning Nov. 18th., conducted by the pastor, the Rev. W.M. Leiser, and the remains laid away in Glenwood cemetery at Pilot Mound, beside those of his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. E. Jones.
