THE NEWS DEMOCRAT, GEORGETOWN, OHIO, 07 May 1964: Emery Edgar Prine, son of Alfred and Maggie Prine, was born near Winchester, Ohio, May 27, 1892, and after a prolonged illness of several years, departed this life, March 23, 1964, aged 71 years, nine months and 27 days. He has resided at Sardinia for the past 20 years, and was a retired N & W Railroad employee. He passed away at his daughter Ruby's, where he had stayed for the past two months. He was united in marriage to Estella Ellis, March 2, 1912, and to this union nine children were born: Floyd and Omer, of Sardinia, Ohio; Harry, of Mowrystown, Ohio; Mary and Ruby Scott, of Sardinia, Ohio; Elva Bingamon, of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Opal Miller of Winchester, Ohio. His wife preceded him in death one year ago and two children, Clara and Homer, died in infancy. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Prine, of Dayton, Ohio, and Herbert Prine, of Winchester, Ohio. One grandson and one great granddaughter and one son-in-law, Eugene Bingamon, preceded him in death. One grandson, Donald Bingamon, who has been stationed in Germany for the past 31 months arrived in the States in time to attend the funeral. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who know him.
