He was 85. Mr. Macy was born Aug. 8, 1887, at Macyville, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Asa F. Macy. He was married to Alice Burris Oct. 10, 1909 (s/b 1910) at Glasco (s/b Concordia), and they farmed in the Macyville community until 1917. He was 85. Mr. Macy was born Aug. 8, 1887, at Macyville, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Asa F. Macy. He was married to Alice Burris Oct. 10, 1909 (s/b 1910) at Glasco (s/b Concordia), and they farmed in the Macyville community until 1917. They moved to Concordia from Junction City in 1927 later moving back to Concordia from Manhattan in 1965. Mrs. Macy died May 13, 1952. For many years Mr. Macy was employed as a baker at Gillan Brothers bakery here and also was a baker in Manhattan and Junction City. He has been a resident in the Concordia rest home for five years. He is survived by five children: Keith of Concordia; Wayne of Toledo, Ohio; Bill of Euless, Tex.; Mrs. Marcella Caver of El Dorado; and Charles F., of Dallas, Tex.; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. His wife, parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services for Emery E. Macy will be Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in Chaput funeral home with Rev. W. C. Brannon officiating. Burial will be in the Morrison cemetery west of Concordia."
