The body was brought to David City for burial Saturday evening. Mr. Medinger was born on June 15, 1872 in Luxemburg. He came to the United States and directly to Nebraska when a young man, and engaged in farming. On April 23, 1901, he was married to Miss Dora Cerney at David City. A daughter Sophia and a son Micheal were born to Mr. and Mrs. Medinger and ever was he most thoughtful and kind to his loved ones at home. A man with a hearty jovial disposition, a happy "Hello" to each one he met was Mr. Medinger. He was a faithful member of the Catholic church, being a member of the St. Mary's parish at David City. He lived in this County for 30 years. For 2 years he was the efficient helper at the Imperial Mills of this city. At the time of his death he was living on his farm south of David City, Besides his widow and two children he leaves five brothers and a sister to mourn his death. The brothers are Peter John, Micheal, John Peter and John Medinger of David City and Nichols of Cedar Rapids. All the brothers were present at the funeral. The sister Mrs. Mary Fisher is still in Luxemburg. The funeral services were held Monday at 9:39 o'clock from St. Mary's church in David City. The services were conducted by Father Sproll and Father Paul of David City and Father Mack of St. Mary's on the valley. Requiem High Mass was sung. The pall bearers were six of his nephews, Nichols Medinger, Marvin Timms, Emil Medinger, Frank Medinger, Edward Medinger and James B. Timms. Those from out of town present at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Nichols Medinger of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Carrie Hruska of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Strizek of Valparaiso, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rocicky of Friend, Mr. and Mrs. William Blei of Clarks, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zaruba of Cedar Rapids and Mr. and Mrs. James Nickerson of Omaha.
