Kimminau, daughter of John Miller and Mary (Jon) Miller passed away unexpectedly in her home on November 12, 1976 at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 6 days. She was born December 7, 1899 (sic) at Blair, Nebraska and moved to Iowa and then to Kansas where she lived until she married Aloysious Kimminau on February 12, 1935. They lived 3 1/2 years in Nebraska then moved to Kansas to help raise two of her nieces, whose parents were killed in a tornado. In 1943 they moved back to Nebraska... Read More	Mrs. Al Kimminau Passes Away Emelia (sic) P. Kimminau, daughter of John Miller and Mary (Jon) Miller passed away unexpectedly in her home on November 12, 1976 at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 6 days. She was born December 7, 1899 (sic) at Blair, Nebraska and moved to Iowa and then to Kansas where she lived until she married Aloysious Kimminau on February 12, 1935. They lived 3 1/2 years in Nebraska then moved to Kansas to help raise two of her nieces, whose parents were killed in a tornado. In 1943 they moved back to Nebraska where she lived on a farm just north of St. Stephen's until they moved to Lawrence in 1963. She worked about 7 years at the Colonial Terrace Home at Blue Hill as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society. She had been in ill health ever since she had a heart attack in August. She is survived by her husband, Aloysious; a son James, Lawrence, four daughters Mrs. Wenceslaus (Anita) Kucera of Lawrence, Mary Jane and Lois Ann Kimminau of Great Bend, Kansas and Mrs. Jack (Betty) Pohlmeier, Grand Island, Ne. Fifteen grandchildren and two brothers, Conrad of Kingman, Ks., Levi of Lawrence, two sisters Lillian Conrardy of Wichita, Kansas and Leona Kanngiesser of Zenda, Kansas. Services were held Monday Nov. 15, 1976 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart church (sic( with a concelebrated Mass. Fathers Peter Gadient, Edwin Stander, Edward Valasek and John Prachar officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Pallbearers were four grandsons Irvin and Wray Kucera, Allen and Ronnie Kimminau and two nephews Alfred Miller and Edwin Mertens. Relatives and friends attending the services were from Lawrence, Nelson, Superior, Blue Hill, Shickley, Hastings, Grand Island, Curtis, Deweese, Guide Rock, Trenton, Glenvil, Kearney, Fairfield, Sutton, Nebraska; Kingman, Wichita, Zenda, Murdock, Great Bend, Garden City, Satona, Garden Plain, Garnett, Rago, Belmont, Willowdale, Cunningham and Hutchinson Kansas; Denver and Grand Junction Colorado and Nashville Tennessee.
