Mrs Halterman was taken sick on Tuesday with the measles from which disease she never rallied. She did not seem apparently ill and the inmates of the house did not realize the end was so near, as she had gotten out of bed about half an hour before the spirit took its flight. Mrs Halterman was taken sick on Tuesday with the measles from which disease she never rallied. She did not seem apparently ill and the inmates of the house did not realize the end was so near, as she had gotten out of bed about half an hour before the spirit took its flight. She was tenderly cared for by her daughter, Mrs. S. W. Grady, and all was done for her that human hands could do and nothing was left undone that added to her comfort. Deceased was seventy-eight years, 7 months and 1 day old. She was the mother of eleven children, ten of whom are left to mourn the loss of a dear, dear mother: Albert, Lorenzo, Jahew, and Price of Moorefield, WV; L.S., of Lost City, WV; Ferguson J. of Glendale, AZ; Mrs. Estella Grady, Keyser, WV; Mrs. Angeline Bobo, Oldtown, MD; Mrs. Josephine Cleaver, Moorefield, WV; and Mrs. Mary Gine, Delray, WV. She was the grandmother of 48 children and 16 great-grandchildren. She was laid to rest in the Newhouse cemetery beside her departed companion. Funeral services being conducted by Rev. Gilkeson of Moorefield, WV.
