At the age of 10 years she came with her people to Jones county, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood. In 1864 she was united in marriage to Asa Platts, of Jones county. Read More	The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 3 June 1925 Death of Emily A. Platts Emily A. Glazier was born May 5, 1844, at North Hyde Park, Vermont. At the age of 10 years she came with her people to Jones county, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood. In 1864 she was united in marriage to Asa Platts, of Jones county. To this union four children were born: Marvin H., Square Butte, Mont.; Enos A., Huron, S. D.; Mrs. Asa Loucks, Trent, S. D.; and Jessie Platts, who died at the age of 18 years at Egan, S. D., at which place Mrs. Platts had resided with her family since June 1876. She was left a widow in 1908. In 1911 she came to Square Butte to make her home with her eldest son, Marvin, with whom she lived until her death, May 27, 1925, at the age of 81 years. Short services were conducted at the home on Friday morning at 9 o'clock by Rev. Edwards of Great Falls. From there the remains were taken to Egan, South Dakota, and laid to rest beside her beloved husband and daughter, Jessie.
