George Clark son-in-law. heart disease, failure of heart and dropsy, Physician F. N. Sheppard. OBIT: Mrs. John States, wife of Mr. John States, died at her home in Crumpton, sunday evening about 10 o'clock, after having been stricken with paralysis about an hour before. Mrs. States had been in an enfeebled condition for several years; being 70 years of age. Besides her husband, she is survived by seven children, three sons and four daughters viz: Messrs. George States and James States, of Kent county, and John States of Crumpton; Mrs. D.S. Davis and Mrs. Montgomery Anthony, of Kent county, Mrs. George Clarke and Miss Marian States, of Crumpton. Funeral services were held at her late home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock Rev. C.J. Burdette of the M.P. Church officiating. Interment was made in Crumpton cemetery, Bradley and Sparks undertakers. Kent New Feb. 1, 1908.
