It originally appeared in the LaFollette Press on Thursday, June 2, 1932. MILLER, Emily Dora Miller. "Mrs. H.P. Miller, Long Ill, Dies." Wife of local businessman succumbed Wednesday morning. Mrs. H.P. Miller died at her home Wednesday morning about one o'clock. She had been in poor health for several months. Her condition grew more grave a few weeks ago and she gradually declined until the end came Wednesday morning. Mrs. Miller was 62 years old. Before her marriage she was Miss Emma Dora Miller. (Personal note: Surely this is a typo by the newspaper!) She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Fred Lynch, Mrs. Charles Ellison, and Miss Alma; four sons, Ed, Everette, Roy & Ralph, all of LaFollette. Another son, Noland, died in 1917. Mrs. Miller is also survived by a brother, A.B. Miller, Middlesboro, Ky, and a sister, Mrs. Maynard Carr, Maynardsville, and by seven grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the M.E. Church, South, of which Mrs. Miller was a faithful member. The services were conducted by her Pastor, Rev. J. E. Lowery, and Rev. C. W. Miller. Active pallbearers were Roy Card, Roy Alexander, Lloyd Longmire, Eugene Claiborne, Russell Sharp and Roy Davis. Honorary pallbearers were R. H. Sharp, W. E. Barnett, J. H. Agee, W. F. Burnett, Dorsey Alexander, W. A. Dossett, R. L. Sharp and R. R. Lynch. Interment was made in Woodlawn Cemetery.
