Inez was born July 8th, 1931 and was the daughter of the late James and Esther Greene, and the widow of Louie J. Price. She worked many years at the Westgate Mall in Spartanburg where she excelled in sales at JC Penney, Belk, and Meyers Arnold and was often awarded for her sales ability. Read More	The Greenville News: 03-16-2003 Gowensville - Emily Inez Greene Price, 71, died March 14, 2003, after a lengthy illness. Inez was born July 8th, 1931 and was the daughter of the late James and Esther Greene, and the widow of Louie J. Price. She worked many years at the Westgate Mall in Spartanburg where she excelled in sales at JC Penney, Belk, and Meyers Arnold and was often awarded for her sales ability. Inez was a member of First Baptist Church of Gowensville and lived most of her life at the foothills of Hogback and Glassy Mountain which she believed to be the most beautiful place on earth. She loved the mountains, and before her decline in health loved working in her garden and enjoyed the beautiful flowers and vegetables her hard work produced. She was an independent, hard working, strong willed woman which made her special and made her "Inez." Surviving are daughters, Eve Thornton of Greenville, Ivy Snyder of Rock Hill; three grandchildren, Erin, Garrett, and Meredith Snyder of Rock Hill. Also, brothers, Ray Greene of Gowensville and Red Greene of Travelers Rest. Flowers will graciously be accepted, or memorials may be made in her memory to the National Kidney Foundation of South Carolina, 5000 Thurmond Mall, Suite 106, Columbia, SC 29201. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Petty Funeral Home, Landrum, and to funeral services on Monday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Gowensville which will be conducted by the Rev.
