There is no individual stone for Emily Jane in the Brighton Cemetery. Emily Jane is actually buried in the Lorah Cemetery. Explanation: The Lorah Cemetery is an old cemetery and served the township and those near Atlantic. When Atlantic became bigger, the Atlantic Cemetery was formed. Many of the people in the community of Lorah moved to Atlantic with their businesses. Lorah became a ghost town and there is nothing left there now, except the cemetery, which is inactive. Many of the families moved their deceased families to the Atlantic cemetery, but there are a lot of graves left there. I think when the family left the area and died, they were buried near where they lived. Lorah is NE of Atlantic and Marne, which is still there and is about 8 miles NW of Atlantic. The parents are buried here in the Brighton Cemetery in Marne. The name and memorial was made to honor their daughter in the family plot, rather than have her remains dug up and brought here. Also, easier for family researchers.
